There are plenty of iconic locations for a wedding ceremony in New York City, but I never realized that this was one of them . . .
Today’s post starts off in a city hotel as Angie and Josh get wedding-ready before hitting the streets to explore New York. After taking the subway, strolling through Central Park and enjoying the obligatory hotdog, they hop into a bicycle taxi and head downtown to meet their celebrant at one of the city’s great icons, Grand Central Station.
And it’s here, beneath the station’s magnificent, towering green and golden ceiling that our couple exchanged their wedding vows.
I had no idea that it was possible to marry at Grand Central Station, but that’s exactly what Angie and Josh did, in their own unique way. The couple married in a ‘pop-up’ style ceremony, joined only by their celebrant, their photographers, a couple of close friends and, as it turned out, a few hundred cheering strangers!

Where on earth did that group of Santas come from? I was not aware that the North Pole Red Light Express connected at Grand Central Station.
