We’re off to Paris today, for one very romantic elopement ceremony. While Paris is a pretty photogenic location, these are honestly some of the most beautiful wedding portraits that I’ve seen from the city of lights. Although it took me a little while to realize that there was one major thing missing from this wedding . . .
You need to be a resident of France for at least 40 days in order to legally marry here, therefore most destination weddings in France are actually purely symbolic – not such a bad thing, as it gives you the freedom to marry wherever or however you choose.
So Mark and Becca decided to put their own unique spin on things, filling their gorgeous AirBNB apartment with candles and tea lights, and exchanging their handwritten vows in a simple ceremony beside the fireplace – minus a celebrant.
No church, no altar, no priest, no elaborate decorations. Just Mark and Becca’s candlelit wedding vows, and Applehead Studio behind the lens to document it forever. Perfection.
